I will sharpen your children’s math skills in just a few sessions with the world’s leading math curriculum – Singapore Math®.
Math Major at UT Austin
I was born and raised in Texas. I want to be a community college teacher in mathematics as well as a counselor. After all, the best teachers are counselors too. I am also the firstborn of six children from a homeschooling family, so I have significant experience teaching younger age groups.
Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus in Early Childhood-6th grade
I graduated in 2019 from the Texas Tech University. I look forward to getting to know each student and discover their own unique way of learning. It is my goal to meet the needs of every student and teach the way they learn best!
Math major at UT Austin
I was born and raised in Texas and am a math major at UT Austin. I have always had a passion for math and for teaching. I have tutored math for the last several years. I try to ensure that students know the reasoning behind math instead of just plugging numbers into formulas with no real understanding. I had a perfect score in my SAT math, and was a National Merit Finalist. I’m studying math and physics with my sights set on being a college professor one day.
Two Times Perfect SAT math score | 2 Years On Science Team
I am a rising senior who loves exploring the world of math, science, and music. As a member of my school’s Science Bowl team, I have learned to study calculus, chemistry and many topics with passion. I earned perfect math score on two recent SAT exams. In my spare time, I compose and arrange musical pieces.
Math Major in the Dean’s Scholars Honors Program at UT Austin
I was born and raised in Austin and I am a math major in the Dean’s Scholars Honors Program at UT Austin. I have been tutoring in various subjects for 3 years and love being able to help students learn new topics and overcome what they once found challenging. I believe it is important for students to develop a true understanding of the material rather than simply memorizing a formula. I was a National Merit Scholar and also received a perfect score on the ACT and my SAT Math subject test.

There is another reason for the high repute of mathematics: it is mathematics that offers the exact natural sciences a certain measure of security which, without mathematics, they could not attain. – Albert Einstein
I’m a passionate student who loves just about anything related to science or math, especially computer science (history isn’t too shabby either). I participate in a competitive programming team, where I constantly learn new skills and push myself to the fullest. Fun fact – computer science is a lot of math, whether it be Calculus or Algebra, and that sort of thing perfectly reflects how I just love seeing the myriad ways we can apply what we learn in our schools to the real world.

“Always pass on what you have learned” – Yoda
I love learning and teaching. Learning gives one power and like Yoda I hope to pass it on to anyone I teach. From advanced calculus to computer science to advanced chemistry and physics, and beyond, I’ve always been excited to learn and understand more. Also, I play competitive chess in my spare time.
BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Spanish Linguistics
Hola!! My name is Dina Samaniego, I love teaching my native language Spanish to children in the elementary years because they have the full cognitive potential to learn a second or third language during the first years of life. I love hiking and cooking for my family and friends. I have three daughters who were born and raised in Puerto Rico, I am Mexican and my husband is Puerto Rican so I have a rich cultural Hispanic background that I’d love to add to my Spanish Conversational curriculum.
Major in Education
I will be graduating with a major in Education at the University of Texas at Arlington in Spring 2021. I have worked with children in different age groups for the past three years. I love helping kids learn new things and seeing their excitement for learning. I look forward to meeting my students and working with them!
Both my parents taught English in Singapore. My older brother won the National Courtesy Essay Writing Competition in Singapore in 1978. My proudest accomplishment was reading through the Mahabharata and Ramayana in six days when I was twelve. I keep my English classes interesting with anecdotes and stories while remembering all too vividly my own misery when learning grammar despite being an “A” student. I am a certified instructor with the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW).
